Bangers are level 2 Monsters that resemble human skulls with two legs and sticks of dynamite lodged inside their brain case. They spawn in groups of three. If one sees a player or gets damaged, its fuse ignites, and it charges at the nearest player before blowing up after 14-15 seconds. The Banger's fuse can not be snuffed after ignition. If it dies while its fuse is lit it will explode prematurely.

If a player is caught in the blast, they will be launched away and get damaged by 30 damage if they were too close. You can pick them up both before and after the fuse has been lit with 0 strength requirements. They have three fuse sounds: a weak fuse (~10 seconds), a strong fuse (~4 seconds) and a final warning where they yell shortly before exploding.

When thrown, Bangers deal 0/5/10/15 damage on impact to enemies and 0 damage to players. On impact they stun players, but they don't stun enemies.

Explosions deal a varying amount of damage to players, and will stun them for 3 seconds. They also deal 10 damage to monsters, and stun them for 5 seconds.

Tips[]

  • You can avoid collateral damage by distancing yourself from your teammates and valuables if a group of Bangers is chasing you.
  • Slamming one twice and then throwing it is a simple way to get rid of it.
    • Throwing it at another monster is a practical way to make use of their explosion, especially when dealing with a Level 3 monster.
    • Throwing Bangers into pits is another way to easily dispose of them.
  • If they see you and light their fuses, don't panic. Calmly find a safe place away from other semibots and valuables, and walk slowly to make sure they stay following you. Listen carefully to their fuses. When you hear a distinctively loud hissing from their fuses, immediately break into a run and sprint forwards. You will evade the resulting explosions almost all of the time if you do it right.
    • While it's important to listen to their fuses to know when to run, don't forget to pay attention to the room you're leading them into and make sure you're not walking into another monster, as that can complicate matters. Fatally, in some cases.
  • Hiding under furniture while out of sight will make them quit chasing the player and continue roaming, even with a lit fuse. This can be helpful or harmful depending on the situation and the amount of valuables in the area as they will still explode while roaming if the fuse was lit beforehand.
  • Stairs slow them down as they have to jump up each individual stair. If you get high enough, they won't be able to follow you in time, and will just explode on the steps.
  • The explosions cause other Bangers to explode, even if their fuse wasn't lit, and can sometimes launch them sideways or upwards. This can be especially dangerous if players are hiding above.
